Eating out
Scan a restaurant menu and log what you order.
Point your phone at the menu, choose your dish and BiteRight logs it with estimated calories, protein, carbs and fat. No searching a food database at the table.
For iPhone and Android. Values are estimates, not restaurant-supplied nutrition. Ask the restaurant about allergens.
How menu scanning works.
Scan the menu
Point your phone at the restaurant's menu, printed or on a board, from inside the BiteRight app.
Pick your dish
Choose what you are ordering and log it directly from the menu instead of searching a food database.
Review and adjust
Check the dish and portion when your plate arrives. Edit the entry or add a meal photo so the day's totals match what you ate.
See the full logging workflow and how accurate the estimates are.
When it helps most.
Before you order
Compare dishes on the menu against the calories and macros you have left for the day.
With a daily limit
If you have set a sugar, carb or fat limit, a logged restaurant meal counts towards it like any other meal.
Daily limits and alerts →Eating out with IBS
Keep a record of what you ordered so you can compare restaurant meals with how you felt afterwards.
BiteRight for IBS →No menu? Log the plate instead.
Street food, a friend's cooking or a dish that is not on the menu: take a photo of the plate, describe it by voice or type it. Every entry can be reviewed and edited before you save it.
